You’ll always find plenty going on in north Norfolk, whatever your interest is. North Norfolk holds a number of varied, family fun and unique events throughout the year from festivals, outdoor concerts and carnivals to walking and cycling events and something for lovers of art and literature, theatre, film and music and that’s just to name a few. With so much happening in this part of the county you won’t be stuck for things to do. While the Norfolk coast is a beautiful place to visit all year round, we especially love the summer months. We have shared some of our favourite local events that are happening throughout summer.

Pop Up Shops at Dalegate Market
Date: From Thursday to the following Tuesday each week throughout the summer

The four different Pop Up Shops at Dalegate Market change each week and are housed in the beach huts. You will find independent traders, local artisans and producers, clothing, antiques, collectables, toys, art, crafts, home furnishings and much.

Sunset Festival
Date: Friday 21st July – Sunday 23rd July 2017
Time: Friday 7pm – 12am, Saturday 12pm – 12am, Sunday 12pm – 7pm
Location: Hunstanton Sailing Club and Watersports Centre, Hunstanton, PE36 6GB
Tickets: Friday £5, Saturday £10, Sunday £5

Sunset Festival is hosted by Hunstanton and District Round table and Hunstanton Sailing Club. The event with take place at Hunstanton Promenade outside the Sailing club and all the money raised from the festival will go towards helping local causes. Over the three days there will be live music & three bars with a selection of beers, wines & cocktails.

Holkham Country Fair
Date: Saturday 22nd July – Sunday 23rd July 2017

Tickets: Saturday adult ticket (15+) £18, Two day adult ticket: £26

Holkham Country Fair is set in the beautiful surroundings of Holkham Estate. This country fair celebrates all things countryside with a fun-packed two days of grand ring entertainment, showground events to watch or get involved in and trade stands.

Sandringham Flower Show
Date: Wednesday 26th July 2017
Location: Sandringham, King's Lynn, Norfolk, PE35 6EN
Tickets: £10 and includes entry to Sandringham Gardens, Sandringham Museum and Sandringham Church, Children 16 & under are welcome free of charge.

Sandringham Flower Show is one of the most prestigious horticultural events in the East of England. Now in its 135th year, it is much more than just a Flower Show. It is a unique event offering not only the best in horticulture but also an excellent day out, filled with family entertainment. There will be displays by Norfolk's leading horticultural specialists and nurseries, floral and vegetable displays, show gardens, trade stands, crafts, arena events, and children's entertainment.

As You Like It

As You Like It is an outdoor theatre event held in the beautiful setting of the walled garden at Holkham Hall.  An idyllic country setting provides the backdrop, as Rosalind and Orlando’s famous courtship is played out amidst the turmoil of political rivalry, mistaken identity and exile in the Forest of Arden.  Enjoy an evening of family entertainment with a performance by London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts (LAMDA).

Wells Carnival
Date: Friday 28th July – Sunday 6th August 2017
Location: Wells-next-the-Sea
Tickets: Donations welcomed

Wells Carnival is a traditional summer carnival that bring family fun to the coastal town. The week will be full of events including a carnival day procession around the town on Saturday 5th August 2017, featuring floats, fancy-dress, pull-and push-along vehicles and much more. Traditional seaside activities include a sand-castle competition, town crier competition, crabbing on the quay and the crowning of the carnival royals.

Hunstanton Kite Festival & Classic Car Rally
Date: Sunday 20th August
Location: Smithdon High School Sports Field, Hunstanton, PE36 5HY
Tickets: Adult £15, Child £6, Family £15

The Hunstanton Kite Festival & Classic Car Rally is a long-running annual event held each August, with fantastic colourful kite displays, a classic car rally, air displays, craft fair and stalls and childrens' activities.

Tennis Week
Date: Sunday 20th August – Saturday 26th August 2017
Location: Hunstanton Recreation Ground, PE36 6DZ

Hunstanton Lawn Tennis Tournament is one of the UK’s largest tournament and attracts entrants from Norfolk and beyond. The tournament takes place on 38 grass courts located in Hunstanton. It is an open tournament catering for experienced players and enthusiastic beginners and is open to all ages.
